**Terms of Employment**

* Contract, 6 36 Months (Possible Permanent Conversion)

* This position is 100% onsite in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

**Overview**

The Indirect Buyer will provider buying services to internal employees requiring indirect goods/services and CAPEX assets (where relevant) for the group of sites in department scope. The Indirect Buyer will ensure all indirect third-party spend goes through the relevant buying channel and internal review procedures are followed to maximize value for the Corporate Team closely with the Accounts Payable Team and the P2P Enablement Team to resolve invoice and GRIR queries. The Indirect Buyer will ensure timely delivery of goods and services, lead supplier negotiations for low value contracts, and drive and support automation of Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order processes. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

* Review and validate Purchase Requisitions for indirect products/services and CAPEX assets (where relevant) for several sites

* Lead competitive bid process (per applicable policy) and/or execute RFx market interventions

* Lead supplier negotiations for low value contracts with suppliers

* Ensure contracts and Purchase Orders are assigned to relevant preferred suppliers

* Place Purchase Orders, obtain confirmations and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery for several sites

* Maintain relevant data fields in SAP (e.g. delivery dates and supplier order confirmations)

* Manage non-conformance, rejections, and returns with suppliers and Quality Assurance/Control

* Monitor and track supplier performance and raise issues with Strategic Buyers and/or Category Managers

* Drive and support the use of e-Catalog (Ariba) and other approved buying channels which generate automation

* Respond to Accounts Payable inquiries

* Train and supervise junior colleagues

**Required Skills & Experience**

* Experience in procurement of indirect goods/services and CAPEX assets (buildings, machinery, large equipment, vehicles, etc.)

* Strong experience participating in bid activities

* Strong experience negotiating with vendors/suppliers

* Strong experience placing purchases and monitoring the procurement process

* Experience working within ERP/procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba, or similar

**Preferred Skills & Experience**

* Pharmaceutical, drug manufacturing, or similar industry experience.
