Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Intern is responsible for providing support to the Quality Assurance team. This individual will be heavily involved in preparing and managing Master Standards. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining accurate retention of records for job specific information.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Supports an organized record retention process for quality and production documentation including but not limited to job packets, process inspection records, calibration records, and certificate of analysis. Requests duplicate drawdowns as needed to fulfill manufacturing needs. Prepares and manages Master Standards with proofs and drawdowns. Manages standards obsolescence for stock codes. Retrieves, evaluates quality to standards, and files printed materials (press sheets, cut samples) Manages new color requests and the digital color library. Documents control copy distribution and management. Prepares and sends samples and/or label specifications to customers.

Essential skills and experience: Working towards a 2- or 4-year degree in Biology, Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or Food Science Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. High sense of urgency and ability to work self-directed in a fast-paced environment. General computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Work Environment: Operates in a demanding, fast-paced, people-oriented manufacturing environment with frequent changes and interruptions, and multiple project assignments. Works with a variety of people including vendors, customers, employees, managers, and executives.

Required Work Schedule: Typically works during standard business days and hours. Must be able to work 15-30 hours per week, pending school schedule. Must be flexible to attend meetings, functions and to be available during off hours, weekends, and holidays to meet organizational initiatives.

Physical Requirements: Walk, sit, bend, stoop, push, pull and stand; lift 20 pounds; 20/40 vision acuity.
