Qualifications
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • One (1) year of experience in construction permitting.
  • Four (4) years of customer service experience.
  • If assigned to Building:
    • Must possess a valid state driver's license upon hire or promotion; and out-of-state licensees must obtain and maintain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.
Key Responsibilities
  • Responds to public and internal service requests in person, via telephone, internet, e-mail or mail as a subject matter expert for intermediate level concerns or problems.
  • Provides public assistance via telephone, in person, or electronically relating to permitting, application processing, inspections, and explains policy and procedures as well as direction to appropriate personnel.
  • Assists in scheduling inspections in the land management system (EnerGov).
  • Processes complex resubmissions, rejections, and revisions, to include time-stamping pages and annotating in land management system (EnerGov).
  • Processes payments for escrow and permit fees.
