Senior Tax Accountant

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to lead our tax compliance and planning efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality tax services. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will collaborate with clients and colleagues to provide strategic tax advice and ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial outcomes. Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to provide timely and accurate advice to clients and colleagues. Assist in resolving tax notices and inquiries from tax authorities, representing clients in audits and appeals as needed. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and resource for all tax-related matters. Mentor and train junior staff members, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth and development. Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for our clients.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred). Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on individual and business tax compliance and planning. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research complex tax issues and provide innovative solutions. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues at all levels.
