Overview:

The Human Resources Administrator plays a crucial role as the main point of contact for our new hires as well as current employees. This position requires outstanding customer service as it is the face of the HR team. Primary responsibilities will be to manage key administrative functions within the HR department.

Responsibilities:

Duties to include (not limited to):

  • Responsible for conducting new hire orientations, benefit enrollment, and all onboarding activities
  • Organize and maintain personnel files (filing, purging, etc.)
  • Handle document retention ensuring compliance (I-9, EEOC)
  • Track and file performance reviews
  • Manage HR incoming and returned mail
  • Assist with HR communication and education
  • Process HR invoices and downloading reports
  • Respond to employee inquiries - first level
  • Process qualifying life event changes in HRIS
  • Coordinate with Payroll on appropriate deductions and enrollment
  • Process employee terminations (benefit letters, COBRA vendor notification)
  • Coordinate employer gifts
  • Responsible for employee milestones (retirement, anniversary/service awards)
  • Manage employer sponsored events (luncheons, external events, fund raising campaigns)
  • Organize company gifts and swag
  • Communicate employee announcements
  • All other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:

An HR Administrator will possess and/or demonstrate the ability to:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills Excel, Word, keyboarding accuracy is vital
  • Learn WSC operations/procedures to apply in problem solving situations
  • Teamwork oriented both internally/externally cooperative positive attitude

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelors in Human Resources preferred
  • 1-3 Years of Human Resources experience beneficial
  • Analytical & technology oriented

Working Demands / Physical Requirements:

  • Flexibility of hours to adapt to seasonal needs
  • Sitting and computer use

Reports to: Manager of Compensation & Benefits
