As our impressive growth continues across the MidAtlantic.Duties include:•Interpreting Explanations of Benefits (EOB) You will read each carrier's EOB to determine what payment, deductible and co-insurance is due, interpret rejection reasons, correct errors and make adjustments before entering into the system.•Posting and Follow-Up You will accurately post insurance and patient payments, follow-up if needed, balance daily batches and submit daily posting sheets.•Providing Customer Service You will provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to emails, answering the phones and following up on any outstanding concerns in a timely manner. •Supporting your coworkers You will be expected to embrace the team work environment and help with various projects from your coworkers and supervisor. Qualifications include: •Having at least 1-year experience in a professional billing environment; OBGYN experience preferred.•A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED), preferably a degree from a 2 educational institution or certification in medical billing or relevant experience•Having generalized knowledge of Medical Billing, Medical Coding HIPAA and Insurance/Federal rules and regulations•Experience with Electronic Medical Reporting (EMR), ECinicalWorks (eCW) experience preferred •Ability maintain confidentiality when dealing with secure records Work Environment: You work in a professional office building, typically during daytime business hours, and interact with other employees, patients and insurance companies face to face, over the phone and through email. Most of your day is spent at a desk but will be mentally stimulating with routine and complex assignments that require innovative thinking and need to be completed in a timely fashion. You thrive in team environments with a structured atmosphere and enjoy collaborating with coworkers. Occasionally, you will be required to lift no more than 15 lbs.
