The Opportunity

In-Charge, a high-growth startup company in vehicle fleet electrification, seeks a Software Quality Assurance Engineer. The selected candidate will maintain a complaint and nonconformance processing through tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions. Will generate and adjust test plans, apply both black-box and grey-box testing, utilizing data and automated testing.

What Youll Do

  • Participate in all aspects of the agile software development lifecycle. This includes reviewing and analyzing system specifications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand product changes and QA requirements.
  • Perform a variety of testing types across multiple features, including exploratory testing, requirements-based testing, ad hoc testing, regression testing, etc.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests using appropriate testing tools, such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, etc.
  • Design comprehensive test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures to ensure optimal system performance and quality conformance to specifications and deliverables.
  • Thoroughly track and document defects discovered during testing, providing feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
  • Contribute to developing test strategies and frameworks that increase the efficiency and scalability of QA processes.
  • Analyze and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues, ensuring their closure by company guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the systems under your ownership, communicating progress, status, and risks. This requires a deep knowledge of system architecture and implementation.
  • Monitor risk-management procedures, maintain and analyze problem logs, and identify and report recurring issues to the product development team.
  • Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness, planning and overseeing inspection and testing tasks accordingly.

Your Experience and Capabilities

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Design, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in QA, with a strong emphasis on test automation and various testing techniques such as UI Testing, Automated Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies.
  • Proficiency in automation testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, Postman, performance testing tools like JMeter, and API testing tools like Graphiql and Swagger.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software QA methodologies, best practices, tools, processes, and debugging procedures.
  • Experience with SQL and network debugging tools like Charles or Fiddler for data validation and debugging.
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum development principles and how QA functions within it.
  • Expertise in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems, such as Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including accurate and timely reporting.
  • ISTQB Certification is a plus.
  • You are willing to work in a team spreading different countries and technologies.
  • Open-minded team player, willing to accept feedback and offer suggestions.
