Lexmark International is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Direct Global Sourcing. This role offers the opportunity to shape and transform our Global Sourcing organization, playing a pivotal role in our globally recognized imaging and output technology solutions company.

As the Director of Direct Global Sourcing, you will be responsible for overseeing global sourcing strategies, procurement, contract management, cost management, and supplier relationships for all direct spending, which totals approximately $1B. You will collaborate with key business stakeholders, contribute to business strategy and planning, and manage a global team.

This role offers high visibility and the chance to influence business strategy and planning at an executive level within a company that values innovation, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability. You will work with a diverse, global team and suppliers, and have the opportunity to travel internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop supplier strategies, including supplier rationalization, market analysis, and business strategy collaboration.

  • Manage key strategic relationships with suppliers.

  • Develop, maintain, and measure performance-based contracts.

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives, leveraging market knowledge and total cost understanding.

  • Deploy a global productivity program utilizing lean techniques to improve processes and tools.

  • Lead and manage a strong team of end-to-end procurement leaders.

  • Transform the Global Sourcing organization into a proactive, partner-based organization.

  • Collaborate closely with global and geo supply chains, product development, manufacturing operations, finance, and others to make strategic and tactical decisions.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven global business leadership skills.

  • 10 to 15 years' experience in international strategic sourcing and multiple categories of spend for direct material and services.

  • Excellent business acumen and ability to influence at an executive level.

  • Proven track record of change management and continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Ability to work with virtual teams from multiple geographies and influence at a peer and management level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a dynamic, multi-national company managing operations or procurement.

  • BS Degree in a related field with 10 years of related job experience.

  • Strong communication skills, experience in mentoring, developing, and coaching employees/managers.

  • Excellent people management skills.

  • High level of integrity and responsibility.

Work Environment/Travel:

  • Office environment, many global teleconferences & connections. Needs to be able to connect regularly on all time zones to connect with global team and with our key suppliers.
