Job DescriptionIf you are a Material Handler looking for an opportunity to grow and develop professionally, Emerson Discrete Automation has an exciting opportunity for you Based in Sandusky, MI, you will ship, receive, deliver parts and supplies. Maintain inventory control and locate stock inventory. Drive all material handling equipment including the Hi-Lo and Wave 60 Lift Machine.Typical working schedule Monday - Thursday, 6:00a.m to 4:30p.m. (4x10's) to include scheduled overtime on Friday's and some weekends. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Ensures accuracy on incoming receipts by counting items and comparing the packing slip to the purchase order while checking packages for damage. Initiates sales order process by consolidating received items or by staging items for further processing of shipments. Stocking items in correct locations. Delivers and retrieves materials by operating material handling equipment, including Hi-Lo and Wave 60 Lift Machine. Assembles and prepares orders for shipment. Maintains quality service by following organizational standards and departmental processes and procedures. Contributes to a total team effort by being versatile in all areas and functions in the warehouse. Observe established safe working, housekeeping procedures and promptly correct and/or notify supervisor of any hazardous situations. All supplemental duties, responsibilities, or non-essential requirements as assigned. Who You Are: You display a can-do attitude in good and bad times. You maintain relationships across a variety of functions and locations. You identify and create the processes necessary to get work done. For This Role, You Will Need: High school diploma/GED or 2 years of experience is required. No experience required with high school diploma/GED; 1 year of experience is preferred. Must have valid State Driver's License. Must meet the specific requirements for operating the Hi-Lo and Wave 60 Lift Machine. Ability to be highly organized. Work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills, Teamwork. While performing duties may be required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist or lift, up to 45 pounds. May be required to work more than 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week based on departmental needs. Perform work duties in office and manufacturing environment. May be exposed to manufacturing plant conditions and elements including but not limited to noise, dust, dirt, oil, and grease. PPE's may be required including safety glasses, ear plugs and safety shoes in specified areas of the plant.
