To create or assist in creating, processing travelers.Essential Job Functions: Review Customers prints/specsReview process prints and tolerancingCreate travelers/ routings in ERP system based on quote (JobBoss)Assesses jobs and prints using knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, and quality control standards -includes machining, metallurgy and heat treat knowledgeEstimates production times, staffing requirements and other consideration to facilitate production processesSatisfy customer needs by phone and in-house visits and communicating job status as neededWork with Production Manager to ensure proper schedulingCommunicate with set-up technicians and Quality Manager as needed for productionNon-Essential Job Functions: Visiting customer locationsAttending trade shows or other industry-related eventsTrain others as neededQualificationsBSME and/or five or more years loose gearing experienceStrong knowledge of heat treatStrong knowledge of metallurgyStrong oral and written communications skillsTeamwork ability and experienceExcellent comprehension of mathematics (including geometry)Ability to read and analyze blueprintsAutoCAD ability preferredMachining background highly desirableMetals knowledge desirable
