Your Impact:
  • Responsible for the design of schematic/environmental/PS&E projects for WA DOT and other municipal/county clients.
  • Direct and/or perform engineering calculations from preliminary to final design.
  • Develop and lead design of plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Assist in proposal, scope of work, and fee schedule preparation.
  • Clearly communicate work and ideas through drawings, documents, reports, and verbal exchange.
  • Follow design standards to layout proposed improvements in MicroStation and coordinate design with design team members.
  • Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines and sub-consultants, Departments, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Maintain project documentation.
  • Schedule work for team members to deliver project tasks on time and on budget.
  • Assist in the training, supervision, development, and evaluation of engineering support staff.
Who you are:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or other related engineering BS.
  • 4+ years of design experience on transportation schematic and design projects. Experience in WA DOT design is a plus.
  • REMOTE for anyone in WA, OR, Northern CA, ID
  • PE or PM experience working on WA DOT projects is highly desirable but not required
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to mentor engineers and technicians.
  • Demonstrated experience using Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads or OpenRoads required
The range for this position is between $ 76-106k per annum, based on experience and qualifications

Work Environment
