CABPT has a bimodal technology stack with a significant portion of its technology assets based on legacy mainframe technology and also a growing modern, distributed set of applications as we modernize.

CABPT is looking for a talented technologist with some domain/functional knowledge of Transactions posting, positions and balances area of the financial services/Brokerage industry, with exposure to High-volumes processing. The successful candidate excels in a dynamic and fast paced Agile environment and is passionate about building high quality scalable software. You should have a good experience in designing, development, testing software systems, providing support of deployed production application and enjoy acquiring and sharing your knowledge.

We are seeking a Mainframe Software Developer with skills and expertise in Financial/brokerage application Development, modernization, proven track record in supporting, maintaining deployed applications. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and post-implementation support of complex software solutions that support our CABPT processing capabilities.

What you have

Required qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 3-4+ years of experience as a Mainframe software developer, with exposure to Financial industry
  • Technical Skillsets must include 3-4+ years of strong COBOL, DB2, CICS, MQs, JCL, EasyTrieve
  • Proven track record of delivering on design & development and support of complex, enterprise-level software systems
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience in Financial Industry – specifically with Brokerage Business and transactions processing/Balances/Positions
  • Experienced applying problem solving, critical thinking, and communication to deliver results, educate and influence partners, architects or other teams
  • Proven track record showcasing the ability to work independently to meet deadlines as a contributing member in a high-paced and focused team

Preferred qualifications:

  • Exposure to Stored Procedures, Datacom DB
  • Exposure to Tools such as ChangeMan, BMC Remedy, Xpeditor, Control-M, Jira
  • Experience with Messaging technologies such as IBM MQs, Rabbit MQ, file transfers (SFTP, Globalscape), NAS, SPOS
  • Some exposure to Distributed Technology stack
  • Experience as a developer on an agile scrum team
