Job Summary:
The GPRS Leave Specialist is responsible for managing and administering the company's leave programs, including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), short and long-term disability, and other leave of absence programs. This position involves overseeing the interactive process to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws while providing high quality, compassionate and efficient support to team members.

Job Responsibilities:
  • FMLA and Leave Coordination: Administer FMLA requests and other leave of absence programs, including personal, medical, and parental leave. Maintain accurate tracking and recordkeeping for all leave cases.
  • Interactive Process Management: Manage the interactive process for team members requiring workplace accommodations due to medical conditions. Ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable regulations.
  • Case Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for team members regarding leave, accommodations, and disability claims. Maintain communication with team members throughout their leave period and coordinate their return-to-work process.
  • Compliance: Ensure all leave policies and procedures comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and other applicable leave laws. Stay updated on changes in leave regulations and industry best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, payroll, and benefits teams to ensure seamless coordination of team member leaves. Collaborate with managers and supervisors to provide regular updates on team member leave status.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain and update leave records in the HRIS system. Provide reports on leave usage, trends, and compliance to HR leadership.
  • Team Member Support: Provide guidance and education to team members on their leave options and rights. Handle sensitive and confidential information with empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience managing leave programs, including FMLA and ADA.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state leave laws, including FMLA, ADA, and disability regulations.
  • Experience with the interactive process and workplace accommodations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and leave management tools.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Historical success in working both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong desire to use skill and talent to serve others.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in handling multistate leave management
  • Certification in HR or leave management (e.g., SHRM, PHR, CLMS.)
