Description
Vision Financial Group, a dynamic, holistic financial services organization, is seeking a highly organized individual to fill the role of Tax Consultant. The ideal candidate will have detailed knowledge of tax planning as it relates to client financial planning, and will exhibit a high degree of professionalism and discretion.

Job duties will focus primarily on the following categories:
Tax Preparation and Entry:
- Prepare and accurately input tax data into appropriate software systems
- Review financial records, statements, and relevant documents to ensure accuracy in tax filings
- Calculate taxes owed, identify deductions, and advise on credits to minimize liabilities
- Engage with clients to understand their financial situations and tax requirements
- Conduct meetings to discuss tax returns, addressing any queries and offering comprehensive explanations
- Provide personalized tax advice and strategies to optimize clients' financial outcomes
- Stay updated with tax laws, regulations, and policies to ensure compliance in all filings
- Implement best practices and procedures to maintain accuracy and meet regulatory standards
- Maintain thorough documentation of all tax-related information and filings for audit purposes
- Organize and manage client records in a secure and accessible manner
- Collaborate with investment managers and financial advisors to gather necessary documents and reports
- Analyze investment portfolios and transactions to identify tax implications and strategies
- Assist in the preparation of investment-related documents for tax planning purposes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Provide insights and recommendations regarding investment decisions for tax optimization
- This underscores the Tax Consultant's involvement in leveraging investment-related information to strategize and optimize tax planning for clients
Qualifications for this role include:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; or equivalent experience
- Valid CPA and/or Enrolled Agent certification highly desired
- 5+ years of personal and business tax preparation experience preferred
- Understanding of investments and financial planning strategies
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and accurately
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Self-starter, problem solver, goal-oriented, and a team player
- Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship building skills
