SMT Operator Lead

Job Title: SMT Lead
Level/Pay: Full-Time, Exempt, ITAR Qualified
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•Assist manager with day-to-day activities of employees engaged in SMT operations.
•Assist with coordinating programming, setup and operation of surface mount pick and place machine, automatic and/or semi-automatic stencil printers, and mass reflow ovens.
•Perform and aid team as necessary while performing manual component placement and inspection.
•Solder together components to assemble fabricated metal items and/or Thru Hole/SMT printed circuit board assemblies as specified.
•Understanding of part numbers and descriptions.
•Help with maintenance on assigned machines, as necessary.
•Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications.
•Knowledge of IPC-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies preferred.
•Other duties and responsibilities not listed above may be assigned.

Knowledge and Skill:
•Machine Operating Techniques
•Training in using of measuring equipment
•Experience in soldering
•Knowledge of components
•Ability to read Gerber's/Drawings
•Proficient English, including Reading & Writing
•Prefer working knowledge with Siemens machine(s)

Education & Certification Requirements:
High school or equivalent.
3+ years' experience working in a contract manufacturing environment is required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be in good health and be able to use both hands.
Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $24.00 - $28.00
