Occupied Apartment Inspector

40 hours per week Scheduled days/hours to be discussed DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to): Responsible for engaging in all aspects of the New York State mandated Mitchell-Lama Occupied Apartment Inspections Program. Responsible for follow-up calls to secure appointments with shareholders, to checking voicemail messages from shareholders interested in securing appointments as well; Maintain a consistent professional manner when interacting with the community; Must be diligent in observing details within the shareholders’ apartments that include established parameters for violations, determined by the State of New York / Housing Preservation and Development; Remain steadfast in integrity, and accurately document all violations and conditions; Compile all Occupied Apartment Inspection violations, organize, document, enter data and produce a comprehensive report on a quarterly basis, or as required by Management; When needed, update the Keri System Software to actively address changes in our Parking Lot systems; Periodically effect complete Building Walk-through Inspections, general work order service, and notify the respective Group Manager of conditions that require attention; Peripherally contribute in a support capacity to the Restoration Inspector doing Finals and Restoration Inspections; and Other related duties as related. QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE: Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent. College (preferred); Two (2) years’ residential property management or maintenance experience, or in performing building inspections; or three (3) years’ Administrative Clerk/Housing Authority experience; Knowledge of practices and procedures in housing inspections, and basic housing code requirements; Basic Construction terminology, techniques and materials; Principles and procedures of record keeping; Strong written and verbal skills; Outstanding customer service; Demonstrates high level of integrity and professionalism; Other related duties as assigned.
