Other market segments include, for example, the mechanical engineering, chemical and pharmaceutical industries and the woodworking industry.The Dürr Group operates in the market with five divisions:Paint and Final Assembly Systems: paint shops and final assembly systems for the automotive industryApplication Technology: robot technologies for the automatic application of paint as well as sealants and adhesivesClean Technology Systems: exhaust-air purification systems and energy efficiency technologyMeasuring and Process Systems: balancing systems as well as assembly, testing and filling technologyWoodworking Machinery and Systems: machinery and equipment for the woodworking industryJob Title: Parts Sales Specialist - Industrial ProductsLocation: Southfield, MI Position Summary: Interface and execute actives with both external and internal customers surrounding Industrial Products business. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment, communicating expected delivery date, and explaining stock-outs, some inventory management responsibilitiesResponsible for product knowledge to answer customer questionsResponsible for customer follow-upRoute qualified opportunities to the appropriate Key Account Managers for further development and closureSource new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emailsClose sales and achieving sales targetsUse excellent oral communication and best practices in customer service when interacting with customersStaying informed about competing products and servicesCreating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers.Maintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures. Nonessential Functions Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features.Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications:Must have an associate's degree, Bachelor's degree is preferredStrong Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Ability to read and understand drawings and bill of materialsAutomotive experience a plusFamiliarity with SAP is necessaryAdditional RequirementsPass a pre-employment drug test and be able to pass a drug test at any time during employment. Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Physical Demands: While performing duties of job, incumbent is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close and distance vision. Additionally, the incumbent will be required to: Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Climb ladders or stairs Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlReasonable accommodations may be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary by schedule and are flexible with manager approval. Evening and weekend work may be required as schedule demands.Travel:This position requires periodic travel, up to 10%. Overnight travel is not anticipated, but may occur. Travel can be both local and international.
