Your Mission:

The Technical Services Advisor is a technical expert focusing on advising and mentoring our Partners during and after implementation of Medidata Products on our Unified Platform. You will be reporting to the VP of Technical Services. Using your technical experience in building/configuring applications within the Clinical environment you will be an important member of the Medidata Technical Services team driving the successful implementation of one or more Medidata Products within our Partners.

Main Responsibilities:

Technical Architecture & Consulting:

Be the technical architect, providing advice on complex system designs and architectures. Assess current technical environments and recommend improvements or innovations.

Collaboration with Departments:

Work with Sales, PreSales, Professional Services Market Segments, and R&D teams to understand their needs and challenges. Facilitate communication between these departments to ensure understanding of goals and strategies.

Standardization and Innovation:

Identify opportunities for standardizing current Technical Services offerings, enhancing operational efficiency. Propose new offerings by staying abreast of emerging technologies and market trends and taking into account client needs, Sales/Presales requests.

Sales Education & Support:

Educate and support the sales team about our technical offerings. Develop materials and conduct training sessions to enhance their ability to sell these solutions.

Liaison with TS Development Teams:

Be a bridge between the technical services development teams. Bring forward ideas and feedback for review and potential implementation.

Project Oversight: Oversee projects from conception to implementation, ensuring that they align with business objectives and are delivered within time and budget constraints.

Partner Management: Engage with important partners to gather requirements, provide regular updates, and manage expectations.

Learning: Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies, methodologies, and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge and provide the best advice and solutions.

Data Fabric Work

  • Spearhead Technical Services' support for the roll out of Clinical Data Studio (CDS) to customers in the second half of 2024 and beyond. This includes
  • Thoroughly understanding the GA'd capabilities of CDS as well as its future roadmap to better assist customers in their adoption of CDS;
  • Identifying, assessing, and prioritizing gaps in customer success in adopting and using GA'd releases of CDS;
  • Designing and delivering Technical Services solutions to ameliorate these gaps where appropriate
  • Advising R&D teams on how to improve customer experience with CDS
  • Provide product guidance on the design and use of important data products that will be implemented by R&D teams for use in existing or new Medidata product experiences, especially CTMS or Clinical Data Studio experiences.
  • Define product requirements and help drive roadmap execution for delivering configurable, automated, Snowflake data sharing of appropriate data products to customers.
  • Define product requirements and help drive roadmap execution for delivering appropriate customer facing metrics on the reliability, latency, accuracy, security, and other significant aspects of data product quality.
  • Initiate and lead innovative early adopter, proof of concept collaborations with customers that can be used to drive more formal product development activities in R&D around data products.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in technical consulting, architecture, and project management.
  • Experience successful collaboration with sales, R&D, and development teams..
  • Mentor teams.

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New Jersey. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on many factors including function, level, candidate expertise, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New Jersey, may differ based on the local market data in that region.

The base salary pay range for this position is $135,000.00 to $180,000.00

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses. Medidata believes that benefits should connect you to the support you need when it matters most and provides best-in-class benefits, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance; 401(k) matching; unlimited paid time off; and 10 paid holidays per year.

Medidata follows a hybrid office policy in which employees who are hired for an in-person are expected to work on site a certain number of days per week (with the specific in-office days to be designated by your team). On July 8, 2024, such employees will be expected to work on site at least 2 days per week. This will increase to at least 3 days per week beginning January 2, 2025.
