Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate and assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with auditors for annual audits and ensure timely and accurate completion of audit requests.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, promoting their professional development.
  • Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and industry best practices, ensuring the company's compliance and adherence to changes in accounting standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
