The ideal candidate must possess ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly in English with guests and staff as is necessary to effectively work within the department. Basic reading and writing. Ability to grasp, lift, carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 75 lbs. Ability to move throughout the building, bend, stop and reach on a continuous basis up to an 8-hour shift. Ability to use commercial cleaning chemicals. Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work independently and remain motivated and fast paced. Time management skills. Professionalism along with speed and attention to details.What will I be doing?Assist Housekeeping department and Room Attendants in guest rooms by moving furniture, edging carpets, washing inside windows, checking and cleaning drapes, scrubbing bathroom floors, inspecting guest rooms with black-light, changing shower curtains, and vacuuming Rotate mattresses on a quarterly basisRun daily room status reportChart all daily activities on progress chartDust all furniture and pictures, clean all windows and glass, and vacuum public areas Vacuum and dispose of trash in office areas Handle linen and trash, transporting to designated areasUtilize washers and dryers, as neededPolish fixtures and vacuum elevators Maintain appearance of and vacuum stairwells Clean ashtrays Clean guest room as neededAssist in delivery of guest requests What are we looking for?Since being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry.
