**Description**
Job Summary
Responsible for priming and epoxy painting of aircraft, fabricated, production and/or aircraft parts to blueprint specifications, and/or customer paint schemes.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
Paint Aircraft and aircraft Parts
Paint strip aircraft using chemical and mechanical methods
Priming and Epoxy Painting of aircraft, fabricated, production and/or aircraft parts to blueprint specifications and/or customer paint scheme
Preparing parts for painting process using body fillers, glazing putty, sanding, masking, cleaning
Cleaning of paint booth or related areas, changing booth filters, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Assist lead aircraft painter in paint scheme layout
Assist Lead Aircraft Painter in controlling paint and related consumables inventory and shelf life
Communication and coordination of projects with other departments, leads and supervisors
Coordinates with repair station inspectors for final inspection and sign-off of completed tasks
Review completed work and ensure that the completed parts are protected from damage
Control and management of essential documentation tasks
Maintains proper operation and cleanliness of shop equipment
Maintains aircraft, work area and hangar cleanliness
Alodine aircraft , fabricated and/or machined parts
Maintains and follows shop safety rules
Other Duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Trade School Certificate preferred.
Demonstrates fundamental concepts and knowledge of priming and painting.
3-5 years professional painting experience, aircraft painting preferred.
Skills
Knows fundamental concepts and practices. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
Can work independently; receive little instruction on day-to-day work. Balances multiple demands and competing priorities
