Accounting Supervisor

Responsibilities of Position:

Responsible for maintaining the accounting function for Denkai America, Inc. and analyzing financial data. Other responsibilities include:

-Handling monthly closing process to include general ledger updating and preparing & analyzing financial statements.

-Monitoring cash balances and forecasting working capital needs.

-Preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.

-Responsible for inventory calculations and subsidiary account reconciliations.

-Maintain fixed asset register, monthly depreciation, and annual property tax return preparation.

-Supervising accounts payable and accounts receivable positions, completing credit references and credit checks.

-Supplying tax information to accounting firms for annual audit and tax return preparation.

-Coordinate annual business insurance program with agent, including the premium audit process.

-Manage annual Japanese Sarbanes Oxley reporting requirements.

-Supplying real-time information to other departments within Denkai America and its subsidiaries.

-Responsible for approving vendor payments over $10k.

-Responsible for one hourly direct report.

Key Success Factors:

-Strong accounting and financial statement reporting knowledge.

-Excel proficiency required.

-Provide recommendations for the business based on financial analysis.

-Learn the Denkai America business and electronics industry- apply knowledge in decision-making.

-Working knowledge of financial systems and ERP systems

Experience/Education Required/Sought:

-BS in Accounting or Finance.

-Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, manufacturing environment preferred.

-Supervisory experience preferred.

**This is a hybrid role. Two days in the office and three working from home. Normal schedule is Monday through Friday**

Candidates will be given a drug screen, background check and credit check i f they receive an offer. Employment is contingent upon completing and passing.
