Vital Planet is a fast-growing natural supplement brand located in beautiful coastal Palm Harbor, Florida (Tampa Bay area). We specialize in probiotics, digestive care, and other high-quality nutritional products for people and pets.
What You Will Do

The Financial Controller will be responsible for the overall financial health of Vital Planet. You will direct and oversee the company's financials by working closely with key team members to budget, forecast, analyze product and manufacturing costs, and prepare financial reports and statements.
Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Management: Craft and refine financial policies and controls, oversee key accounting functions (AP, AR, payroll), and implement cash forecasting to safeguard assets and provide timely insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Dynamic Budgeting and Forecasting: Design and continuously enhance budgeting and forecasting processes to optimize resource allocation and swiftly adapt to economic shifts.
  • Expert Financial Guidance: Offer strategic counsel on capital investments, new ventures, and cost management to help the CEO make informed decisions and maximize financial impact.
  • Leadership and Compliance Excellence: Build strong banking and investor relationships, manage essential non-core functions (HR, legal, etc.), ensure regulatory compliance, and actively contribute to shaping the company's culture and strategic direction.
Who You Are

We are searching for an experienced CPG financial professional who is passionate, hardworking, and dedicated. You are a strategic, organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and open-minded team player who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully. You are analytical and nimble and are skilled at identifying trends and insights within financial statements.
Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience with a scaling CPG brand, ideally in the supplements industry
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation
  • Hands-on experience with general ledger accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Experience with cash management and risk assessment
  • Proficient in accounting softwares, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with tight deadlines
  • This role is onsite 5x/week in Palm Harbor, FL.
