Position Specifics We are looking for individuals to staff various locations at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the month of May. **Setup** -Start: Early to Mid-April -Would transition to sales associates in May (Museum, Legends Operated Trackside Locations) **Gift Shop Associate** -Start: Mid-April into May -Museum store for initial training depending on start date, the either assigned to Museum or Legends Operated Trackside Location. **Summary of Team Member Daily Duties/Set Up Team:** * Provide an exciting, positive, and fun environment for our diverse team & fan base. * Greet guests & ascertain their interest, so you may make sales recommendations. * Excellent accuracy when using POS systems. * Demonstrate ownership in cleaning, re-stocking, & any other tasks assigned by supervisor. * Present merchandise to increase sale with add on items. * Must be able to describe merchandise features, benefits, and explain use. * Keep current on promotions & sales in store: and events at the speedway. * Maintain inventory, merchandise placement, and accurate counts. Assist in inventory. * Continually increase knowledge of product, facility, and all events held at IMS. * Other duties as assigned by supervisor. * Must be able to read & implement plan-o-grams. * Assist the Gift Shop set-up team with the merchandising of event gift shops including plan-o-grams, merchandise placement, inventory control, cleaning of shops & fixtures. * Merchandising skills a plus. **Requirements:** * Honesty and integrity in all actions and language. **(Applies to Set Up as well)** * Must be able to take constructive feedback & make necessary changes. **(Applies to Set Up as well)** * Excellent customer service and selling skills. * Be willing to work extended hours on event days. **(Applies to Set Up as well)** * Must be able to work weekends & overtime as needed. **(Applies to Set Up as well)** * High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in comparable company. * Accuracy in open & close procedures. * Able to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time. **(Applies to Set Up as well)** * Innovative & self- starter, who can work independently and as part of a team. **(Applies to Set Up as well)** * 35-40+ hours weekly. * Be able to work outside in the elements. **(Applies to Set Up as well)** * Flexibility in Duties & responsibilities as needed in other areas. **(Applies to Set Up as well)** Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
