General Responsibilities:
Design of concrete and steel civil structures such as lift stations, stormwater pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, retaining walls, and single-story buildings.
Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards (IBC, ACI 318 & 350, AISC, etc.) for civil structures
Support work for bridge design teams using AASHTO LRFD.
Handle routine contract administration
Coordinate work with other disciplines such as roadway, hydraulics, land development, etc.
Required Education/Licenses:
Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering
Certified PE in the state of Texas or soon to be taking the PE exam
Required Minimum Experience:
4 years experience on Civil Structures and/or Bridge Design per TX DOT criteria
Proven experience in handling multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal employees
Candidate must be proactive, have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be client service oriented
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Structural Engineering
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation and other structural analysis software
Knowledge of Excel and Excel VBA programming (or similar programming language)
