NEWLY-CREATED

role under the Controller.

Responsibilities: Oversee the financial reporting function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Coordinate and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and accurate financial information is provided to management. Develop and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Treasury, and Operations, to gather financial information and support decision-making processes. Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis. Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards, assess their impact on financial reporting, and ensure compliance. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasting, providing financial insights and analysis to support the planning process. Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting processes, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy. Manage and develop a team of financial reporting professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to ensure a high level of performance.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA is highly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in the hospitality, travel, or cruise industry. Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, with the ability to apply accounting principles to complex financial transactions. Proven experience in leading and managing financial reporting processes, including month-end and year-end close activities. Proficient in financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and data interpretation. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large sets of financial data. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial reporting systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide insights to drive decision-making. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Prior experience in managing a team and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
