COMMERICIAL FINANCE MANAGER
SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN - WORLD HEADQUARTERS - HYBRID
As a member of the Commercial Finance team, the Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for commercial finance in the organization. Provides analysis to facilitate critical business decisions based on financial data. Will support the commercial teams and plant operations through analysis of key performance indicators and trends, and will Communicate and coordinate with cross functional teams, promoting organizational success.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
- Long range plan support and development
- Customer, market & competitor analysis
- Provide guidance for volume, CPV, variable margins and CAPEX
- New and replacement program quotes
- Develop APRS with the commercial, advanced manufacturing and cost estimating teams
- Review and challenge assumptions (price, material costs labor, CAPEX, tooling, engineering, timing of actions, etc..)
- Prepare PARs/PFAs and monitor performance against approved amounts
- Prepare complete program roll-ups including vertical integration with JIT, trim, foam, structures, and leather
- Monitor cash flows and cash collections
- Manage engineering and tooling cash forecasting and collections
- Assist GBS team to resolve past dues
- Partner with commercial, engineering and purchasing teams to identify and drive margin improvements
- Monitor engineering changes and associated quotes
- Develop formal business cases prior to quotes being submitted
- Assist in commercial negotiations - productivity, inflationary, commodity, re-pricing, etc.
- Commercial OIP management including risk & opportunities
- Commercial accrual oversight and management
- Track and monitor open commercial issues
- Drive internal controls compliance throughout the organization and ability to demonstrate effectiveness to internal and external auditors
- Warranty management and accounting
- Responsible for various ad hoc requests/projects for plants, division and corporate
- Participant in execution of Lear's long-term strategies
- High exposure to executive leadership teams
- Advanced exposure to Lear's new technologies
- Hybrid work schedule
- BS or BA in accounting, finance, or related field
- 5+ Years of accounting/finance experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to interface across multiple organizations, product lines and levels in the organization
- Proven analytical, communication and organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible and/or changeable schedule
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Previous budgeting & forecasting experience
- Prior automotive experience
- Experienced with Hyperion HFM, LearPro, Profile
- CPA/CMA/Master's Degree
