M-F) Days, evenings Work Location: UM Hospital - Lennar Perioperative Services * Provides safe transportation of patients from their rooms to various areas of the hospital. * Ensures patient safety by verifying the patient identification band, chart and sending slip. * Assists patients to and from the stretcher. * Assists nursing personnel with patient positioning and patient skin preps. * Cleans and prepares surgical suite and disinfects stretchers in-between patients. * Supports the supply needs of the department by receiving supplies and restocking all areas. * Maintains the cleanliness of the surgical suite and cleans the operating rooms at the end of the day's schedule. * Empties all trash containers, suction canister boxes, and replaces bags and boxes, periodically throughout the day. * Maintains attendant's supply room with needed solutions for cleaning, maintenance of floors, polishing glass, and cleanliness of counters and walls. * Maintains inventory of wet vacuum hoses, floor tools, and brushes. Mops the floor between surgical procedures. * Cleans patient pantry and dining area and empties trash. Returns equipment to the storage room and keeps the room orderly. * Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary. CORE QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or equivalent Certification and Licensing: Not Applicable Experience: Minimum 0 -1 year of relevant experience Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: * Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail. * Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines. * Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion. * Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary. * Commitment to the University's core values. * Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
