The Controller will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, implementing financial policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Controller will manage a small team and have a firm grasp of the day-to-day accounting needs for the company.

Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of the company's financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
* Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
* Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
* Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Manage the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing variance analysis and financial forecasting.
* Coordinate the annual financial audit and tax filings with external auditors and tax advisors.
* Oversee cash management, including monitoring cash flows, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing liquidity.
* Collaborate with other departments, including acquisitions, leasing, and property management, to support business objectives and initiatives.

Job Requirements

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
* Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the commercial real estate industry.
* Strong management and communications skills are a MUST.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
* Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Experience with real estate accounting software is a plus.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
