next Grassroots Engagement Director in Alaska The Grassroots Engagement Director will identify, recruit, and engage leaders in Anchorage, Kenai-Soldotna, Juneau, Fairbanks, Ketchikan and the Mat-Su Valley, mobilize them

to take action , and drive policy reform that creates opportunities for all. Your Responsibilities Include

As our Grassroots Engagement Director, you will plan and execute a variety of activities and events to educate and bring awareness strategies that advance our priorities Every day you will meet with volunteers, and make plans to activate new volunteers who can help us turn policy into reality You will serve as a community leader by leveraging local knowledge and relationships, building partnerships to solve problems in your community You will work with communities of advocates to contact citizens (for example, making calls or door knocking) to educate and persuade the public to act on AFP’s priority policy initiatives You will recruit, hire and manage part-time canvassing employees If you live outside the Anchorage area, you will be expected to work two days a week in our Anchorage office Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization

You're able to build relationships quickly with people from all walks of life and understand how to inspire and motivate others You can think of new ways to achieve our goals towards better public policy and develop the detailed plans to get us there You have a valid driver’s license You are ready and willing to canvass neighborhoods and make phone calls for AFP’s priority initiatives and endorsed candidates, as well as motivate and coordinate volunteers and part-time employees to do the same You have demonstrated experience or capacity to learn and successfully navigate multiple online technical systems Standout Candidates May Also Bring
