Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information Lead Month End and Year End Close process Reconcile Bank Statements Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and maintain accurate schedules Perform Accounts Payable process including entry of credit card expenses Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements, including reporting and analysis for variances Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors Maintain accounting files Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Ensure compliance with GAAP principles

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field, CPA or MBA preferred 5+ years of experience Outstanding reporting and communication skills Ability to work independently Expert in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office applications Able to navigate accounting systems, prior knowledge of QBO a plus
