Human Resources Manager

The HR Manager role provides human resources leadership on site for our Capitol Heights Grow and Manufacturing facility. This role is responsible to execute HR strategies that enable accomplishment of business objectives, that simultaneously support the managers and team members on site. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building successful relationships, influencing peers and others without authority, and providing sound HR guidance to managers that moves the business forward in a way that is both empathetic and action orientated. This role assumes responsibility for positive team member relations and the full team member lifecycle, and championing Holistic’s culture within the location.
Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop and execute strategies to foster a work environment where employees feel valued, engaged, motivated, and a sense of belonging
Partner with department managers and supervisors to support the teams and the business
Support complete team member lifecycle
Conduct team member onboarding & orientation
Ensure new hire training and annual training has been completed for all team members
Lead Performance Management Administration, including quarterly feedback sessions and annual reviews
Support Human Resource Managers with Manager & Leadership Trainings
Consult with managers on discipline and related investigatory responsibilities for team member issues
Manage leaves of absence
Responsible for data entry and management within our HRIS system (Payright)
Promote HR programs, including DEI initiatives
Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and turnover rates
Administer compensation and benefit plans
Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
Maintain personnel files and records in electronic and paper form
Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and
General
Regulations require that incumbent be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain marijuana work credentials, if applicable
Education/Experience:
3+ years of human resources related experience
BS degree business, HR or related field is preferred
Exceptional project management skills
Exceptional verbal communication and people skills
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Cannabis experience is desired
Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems
Aptitude in problem-solving
Demonstrated cultural competence and a proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, showing sensitivity and respect for different perspectives, values, and customs
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Proven experience successfully handling employee relations and performance management issues
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
For some positions with our company regulations require that team members be 21 years of age or older.

When We Complete A Background Check
After reviewing your application, Holistic Industries may extend a conditional offer of employment. Subject to legal requirements, Holistic Industries may use a third-party vendor to conduct a background check on you. In doing so, Holistic Industries will receive your personal identifiers (name, physical address, telephone number, and Social Security number) and professional or employment information (employment history and educational history) from our vendor. We use this personal information to assess your application and suitability for the position for which you have applied and to comply with legal requirements.
When You Undertake Drug-Screening
After reviewing your application, Holistic Industries may extend a conditional offer of employment. Subject to legal requirements, Holistic Industries may use a third-party vendor to conduct drug-screening. In doing so, Holistic Industries will receive your personal identifiers (name) and your medical information (drug-test results) from our vendor. We use this personal information to assess your application and suitability for the position for which you have applied and to comply with legal requirements.
When We Complete Identity Verification
If you pass the background check and/or drug screening, we will collect additional personal information so that Holistic Industries can verify your employment eligibility. To do so, we will have you complete a Form I-9. When you complete the Form I-9, we will collect your personal identifiers (date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license, and passport).
HOW WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Holistic Industries shares your personal information with service providers, and certain other third parties as described below:
To Validate Your Applicant Information.
Subject to local legal requirements, we may use external services to collect, process, and/or validate your personal information. You will also be asked to provide Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action information. This is not mandatory - if you do not provide it, it will not affect your application. With Service Providers.
