Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Portfolio Manager/Resource Manager to join our dynamic IT M&A Team. As a Portfolio Manager/Resource Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the management and optimization of resources within the IT M&A Team, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of resources to meet project objectives.

This role requires a background in portfolio management, resource planning, and IT mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement resource management strategies to ensure optimal allocation and utilisation of resources within the IT M&A Team.
  • Support project teams with budgets and costs and to make sure the necessary costs are being picked up by the correct business area.
  • Collaborate with project managers and senior managers to understand project requirements and resource needs.
  • Conduct resource capacity planning and forecasting to identify potential resource gaps or bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate with HR and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure timely acquisition of required resources.
  • Monitor resource utilisation and identify opportunities for resource optimization and efficiency improvement.
  • Maintain a comprehensive portfolio of IT M&A projects, including resource allocation, project timelines, and deliverables.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on resource allocation, utilisation, and project progress.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to resource availability and allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of resources and processes during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in portfolio management and resource planning.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a PMO Lead, Portfolio Manager, Resource Manager, or similar role within an IT M&A environment.
  • Excellent understanding of IT mergers and acquisitions processes and best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of resource management principles and techniques.
  • Comfortable in managing both internal and external stakeholder relationships including our C-suite level.
  • Proficient in using resource management tools and software and experience with Planview would be an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus but is not essential.
