Job Summary As an EH&S Safety Manager , you will be responsible for influencing safety strategy, consistent processes and culture for three global divisions: Americas Distribution Services Division (ADSD), Cat Digital, and EAME. These divisions sit among a diverse group of facilities, working with management and support employees, SOS Service Labs, Mechanical Labs, Demonstration & Learning Centers, as well as shared facilities and satellite offices. In addition to being the point of contact for safety incidents, you will support the rollout of Corporate Safety Initiatives, partner with other EHS professionals, and provide indirect leadership. Additional Info: This position is an on-site position located in Peoria, IL or Dallas, TX. Relocation provided to our preferred locations. Other locations considered within 50 miles of a Cat facility. This position requires a minimum of 25% working time travel, both domestic and international. What You Will Do: Identifies common and more complex safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organizations operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards. Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, and enterprise objectives. Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions. Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement. What You Have (Required Skills): Sustainability: Knowledge of sustainability strategy; ability to integrate sustainability into the overall business strategy of the organization to build a sustainable business model. Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
