Job Title: Sr EHS Specialist

Keurig Dr Pepper is seeking a highly skilled Sr EHS Specialist to join our team in Irving, TX. As a key member of our EHS team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our safety and environmental programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety, health, and environmental policies, programs, and training to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing plant, truck yard, customer sites, and warehouse to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, procedures, and JHA's to ensure audit readiness.
  • Work closely with warehouse, transport, sales, delivery, and production personnel to achieve departmental EHS goals.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly testing, inspections, and reporting for various EHS tasks.
  • Establish a plan of action to promote employee involvement in accident prevention activities.
  • Maintain a commitment-based safety culture and develop leading indicators for the prevention of accidents.
  • Conduct specific EHS training for employees as needed.
  • Establish, chart, and trend statistical and performance-based measures to reflect safety and environmental accomplishments and deficiencies.
  • Assist in accident investigations, root cause analysis, and ensure data is recorded in our safety management system.
  • Maintain a system for reporting, monitoring, and correcting serious safety problems.
  • Assist in reviewing, updating, and implementing EHS programs for the site.
  • Conduct Ergonomic Assessments to prevent and track workplace injuries.
  • Knowledgeable in stormwater program.
  • Work with security contractors to ensure their scope of work provides adequate protection of the property, building, and workforce.
  • Facilitate 5S program, meetings, and training.
  • Contribute to successful emergency planning and response.
  • Travel to local customer sites up to 25% of the time.
  • Collaborate with local human resources in the administration of Workers Compensation.
  • Communicate and partner effectively with external medical providers, consultants, vendors, and contractors.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a safety or environmental related field from an accredited 4-year university.
  • 3-5 years of related safety/environmental experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety management, EHS, DOT compliance, OSHA, and accident investigation.
  • Intermediate to advanced expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Work in a team environment; occasionally work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to meet remote field employees for evaluations, coaching, observations, and training.
