Parts Driver

Position Purpose

The Parts Driver is responsible to pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, vendors and the dealership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the pulling of parts as needed to ensure correct quantity and accurate parts to be delivered.
  • Checks with the body shop each day to determine immediate parts needs.
  • Picking up parts from other dealers and delivering them as directed.
  • Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up and checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
  • Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
  • Accurately collect money and signatures where needed.
  • Provide quick, courteous, professional and efficient service to all accounts.
  • Assist with parts bin checks as requested.
  • Helps with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.
  • Responsible to maintain delivery vehicle including its cleanliness, registration, mechanical repairs and that it is unloaded and secured at the end of the work shift.
  • Participate in all training programs that are made available as applicable.
  • Adhere to work schedule and arrive at work before your scheduled start time and be at your work station productively engaged by the scheduled time, making sure to clock in and out.
  • Complies with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety and personal protection equipment as required.
  • Safeguard customer and Dealer information per established policy.
  • Exemplifies organizational culture and holds others in department accountable for doing the same.
  • Accomplishes all current and future tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
  • Other related duties as may be assigned.
