Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the organization's tax liabilities, maximize tax deductions and credits, and optimize the effective tax rate.

Stay abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings, and assess their impact on the organization's tax position, providing recommendations and guidance to management as needed.

Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure accurate tax provisions and disclosures in financial statements, including deferred tax assets and liabilities, uncertain tax positions, and tax reserves.

Manage and support tax audits and controversies initiated by tax authorities, including responding to inquiries, providing documentation, and negotiating settlements to resolve tax disputes.

Identify opportunities to leverage tax technology and automation tools to streamline tax processes, improve efficiency, and enhance tax compliance and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance

5+ years of corporate tax experience

I n-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local corporate tax laws and regulations, including tax research skills and experience interpreting complex tax code provisions.

S trong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze tax issues, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical solutions.

P roficiency in tax software and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills for tax data analysis and reporting.
