Position Title: FP&A Sr. Manager, Energy Group

Department: FP&A North America

Reports To: Vice President, Global Financial Planning & Analysis

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Position Summary

Recurrent Energy is one of the worlds largest and most geographically diversified utility-scale solar and energy storage project development, ownership, and operations platforms. With an industry-leading team of in-house energy experts, we are a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc. and function as Canadian Solars global development and power services business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the forecasting and reporting process for the North America division of the Global Energy Group, including preparation of budgets, consolidation of financial statements, and presentation of financial data.
  • Provide thoughtful and timely analysis of forecast and variance to actuals with actionable insights communicated to business leaders.
  • Establish improvements to financial forecasting, including, but not limited to reconciled regional balance sheets, implementing and managing a dashboard system and communicating forecasting schedule.
  • Partner with business leaders in development, EPC, Asset Management, O&M and others to optimize forecasts, manage risks and drive improvements to financial performance.
  • Develop, consolidate and coordinate budget process, including the elaboration of forecasting models and database files.
  • Assist in the companys monthly, quarterly and yearly closing, conducting account reconciliations and analysis as required.
  • Monitoring of the global cash flow position on weekly basis.
  • Update cost and expense trend reports, analyzing variations and ensuring alignment with the forecast.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in related role. 10 years overall experience in Finance Department.
  • US GAAP reporting exposure: UK GAAP + IFRS knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform related functions in adherence to regulations, laws, policies, and standards.
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Able to deal with people tactfully, confidentially, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Computer literacy, including effective skills in SAP, MS Office (strong Excel knowledge).
  • Energy industry experience a plus, Six Sigma training or experience highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Fluent in English.
