Nurse Practitioner
Duties
Performs a combination of clinical care, education, and public health initiatives focused on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of tuberculosis. Comprehensive management of tuberculosis, focusing on providing high-quality care to patients, preventing the spread of infection, and promoting public health
Patient Assessment and Diagnosis
Treatment Planning and Management
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work collaboratively with physicians, infectious disease specialists, public health officials, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care for patients with TB.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases, share knowledge and expertise, and develop comprehensive care plans.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care and facilitate the implementation of treatment plans.
Education and Outreach:
Monitoring and Surveillance:
Participate in TB surveillance activities, including monitoring TB trends, identifying outbreaks or clusters of cases, and reporting cases to public health authorities as required.
Conduct contact investigations to identify and evaluate individuals who may have been exposed to TB, and implement appropriate testing and treatment interventions to prevent transmission.
Requirements
A current California license to practice as a Registered Nurse. (proof required) *
AND A valid Nurse Practitioner certificate issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (proof required) *
AND A valid Nurse Practitioner furnishing number issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (proof required) *
AND A current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R.) certificate. (proof required) *
Additional Information
M-F (typical day is 8 am to 5 pm)
Needed ASAP 3-6 month assignment
