Kalahari Resorts Conventions delivers a waterpark resort and conference experience all under one roof. The authentically African-themed resort is home to America's largest indoor waterparks and features well-appointed guest rooms, full-service Spa Kalahari, a fun-filled family entertainment center, on-site signature restaurants, unique retail shops and a state-of-the-art convention center.

We are inviting you to apply for the Grab and Go CDP position. In this role, you will support the Chef in the kitchen operation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in the preparation of cold foods according to established recipes and standards including basic sushi rolls (will train) as well as visually inspecting all food products to be served to ensure they all meet the quality standards set out by departmental and resort management. He/She is also responsible for assisting in ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation and safety in the kitchen, and storage areas while minimizing waste and maximizing cost/production ratio.

We require that you have background, consisting of 1+ year experience in a high-volume production kitchen is preferred.

Additional required skills responsibilities include:

  • Able to lead a team to successfully accomplish all tasks in a timely manner
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure proper FIFO rotation of back-stock and ability to fulfill orders
  • Assist Main Kitchen in any additional production as needed
  • Properly stocking and organizing the walk-in refrigerator
  • Ensure all food items are properly labeled and stored
  • Monitor food temperatures / storing food at safe temperatures
