Job Title: Clinical DietitianJob Specialty: HospitalJob Duration: Not specifiedShift: Days, 4 ten-hour shiftsGuaranteed Hours: 80 hours per pay periodExperience: One year of experience in clinical or community nutrition is preferredLicense: Licensed as a Dietitian in the State of OregonCertifications:- Registered dietitian or eligible for registration (must obtain registration within one year)- Oregon Food Handler, Food Manager Certification, or ServSafe Certification (within 30 days of hire)- Certified Diabetic Educator- Certified Oncology Nutrition Specialist- Certified Nutrition Support SpecialistMust-Have:- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Food Nutrition or Dietetics- Completion of approved coordinated undergraduate program, dietetic internship, or approved master's program with qualifying work experience- Current driver's license or obtain within 30 days- Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (preferred)Job Description:- Provide clinical nutrition support, care, and information to patients and staff- Proficient operation of calculator, computer, PowerPoint, telephone, copy machine, and fax machine- Ability to read, write legibly, and converse in English- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance- Physical capacity to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently- Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time for patient care needs- Adequate hearing and visual acuity, including color vision- Fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects- Use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating and transferring- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds- Use standard precautions due to exposure risks to blood and bodily fluids- Effective communication skills through reading, writing, and speaking in-person or on the telephone- Periodic use of a personal computer
