Project Manager

My client, a recognized leader in municipal services across the United States, specializes in public works, building and safety, planning, engineering, and real estate acquisition. They are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Engineer Project Manager to join their team. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to become a key member of a highly qualified, collaborative, and motivated team.

Job Requirements

Project Management: Oversee public works projects, ensuring effective client liaison, agency coordination, scheduling, and budgeting. Team Leadership: Manage project teams comprising multi-disciplined technical staff members. Liaison Role: Serve as the bridge between City staff and other technical groups within or outside the company. Presentations: Deliver presentations to clients, city councils, boards, and commissions. Proposal Preparation: Prepare engineering project proposals and task orders, defining scope, schedule, and fees. Reporting: Prepare Reports and other necessary documents. Project Development: Recommend, develop, and implement projects, programs, procedures, and policies. Public Outreach: Provide support for public outreach, prepare presentations, and participate in public workshops. Regulatory Knowledge: Be familiar with local, State, and federal requirements. Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in civil engineering design and project management. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related fields. Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred. Customer Service: Ability to provide and maintain a positive level of customer service to the public, development community, and City government staff. Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Project Management Skills: Effective in managing schedules, scope of work, budgets, and project development teams to deliver quality projects on time and within budget. Technical Skills: Ability to prepare, read, and interpret engineering reports and plans, organize and coordinate the preparation of engineering drawings, plans, and estimates. Skills in preparing maps and charts showing profiles and cross-sections, indicating the relationship of topographical contours and elevations to various structures, and perform or coordinate the design work for street and underground utility improvements. Independence: Capable of functioning independently on project management and technical matters. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar software.
