Responsibilities

* Accountable for the safety of all employees for whom they are responsible through active engagement in safety activities and provide clear, consistent communication of safe work expectations.* Oversee the lab and its equipment for product testing.* Evaluate and provide proper training for all department personnel.* Direct work assignments and ensure efficient labor utilization.* Lead cross-functional and problem solving teams to drive process and product improvements.* Develop and implement quality standards and assure products meet expectations of our customers.* Lead/facilitate, review, and disposition of discrepant materials identified for control of nonconforming product.* Establish quality performance metrics and drive issues to true root cause solutions.* Audit manufacturing line against released manufacturing processes and procedures.* Perform on-site analysis of quality-related issues; lead/perform product containment activities and arrange for disposition and follow daily housekeeping and 5S standards.

Qualifications

* College degree in business, management, manufacturing, or STEM fields -- preferred but not required.* Minimum 1 years of experience in Quality Systems in a manufacturing* Experience in ISO 9001 and SQF preferred.* Computer expertise including fluency in all Microsoft Office applications.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and direct employees.* Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required (5-10%).
