Description The Prototype Coordinator is responsible for maintaining schedules for Aftermarket Assembly department as well as gathering, analyzing, and clearly communicating production status and metrics to all stakeholders as required.

- Experience:
5+ years Production Planning or Material Purchasing. Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for coordination of all parts assembled in the new Prototype area including Aftermarket, OE Prototypes, and OE Pre-Production units. This will also include scheduling with series operations team for usage of production equipment and/or personnel when needed
- Responsible for maintaining Aftermarket, OE Prototypes, and OE Pre-Production inventory control in the ERP system and physical separation from plant series production inventory
- Consolidation point between departments for Aftermarket, OE Prototypes, and OE Pre-Production 3D CAD data, 2D drawings, and all other data needed by Purchasing and Operations to transition from pre-production to serial production
- Work with sales and customer teams to schedule and prioritize assembly line activities to fill orders for stock and/or customer fulfillment according to material arrival, customer orders, and department work standards
- Interface with Account Manager and Sales to have information organized to help answer order status inquiries and material arrival timing
- Work with Purchasing to ensure the right materials are on order and track said materials from supplier to factory
- Lead regular meetings with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Operations to identify constraints to production schedules and ensure timely receipt and shipment of all goods
- Operate within OE customer portals to process purchase orders, verify ASNs, download related content, and/or upload documents and data as required
- Keep ERP system (Sage) and offline tracking sheets updated with incoming material arrival dates and set production orders in ERP as needed
- Cross-train with Aftermarket Account Manager to serve as backup for customer portal and sales order processing
- Coordinate and communicate plans/schedules, track progress, and review work orders
- Logistics coordination and regular follow up to avoid delays on incoming shipments
- Tracking of data to support trend, forecast, and statistical analysis for safety stock levels, reorder points, Plan for Every Part, and all MRP related systems
- Track carrier performance, incoming freight quality, and outbound freight packaging standards
- Be highly accountable to assigned work, producing high quality deliverables and meeting deadlines
- Drafting of appropriate policies and procedures in line with site but specific to Aftermarket needs
- Implement processes to optimize Aftermarket logistics and material handling at site and support other strategic initiatives as required
- Be able to use Excel effectively for reporting and analysis purposes
- Troubleshoot problems and resolve as they occur
- Perform other duties as required

- Demonstrates above average proficiency in Excel and Power Point programs
- Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Aftermarket department Champion for ERP system (SAGE)
- Manage reconciliation of all Finished Goods inventory weekly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Capability to adapt schedules to meet changing customer needs.
- Responsible for communicating production part constraints as needed with Supply Chain.
- Perform any additional duties as required by the company.
