Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Milestones is South Texas leading pediatric rehabilitation center, focused on helping children with significant physical and developmental needs to build everyday skills that matter. A full-time Pediatric Occupational Therapist position is now open in our clinic, with optional Friday and Saturday part-time shifts. Bonus opportunities are available for meeting full-time targets and for therapist referrals. This role centers on supporting children with complex medical needs. The work involves guiding families through ADLs, improving sensory processing, and helping each child gain functional independence. It suits someone who brings strong clinical judgment, enjoys problem solving, and values a team approach. Key Responsibilities * Complete functional assessments for children with neurodevelopmental, sensory, or physical challenges. * Develop treatment plans that emphasize safety, independence, and daily routines. * Use sensory strategies, fine motor activities, and purposeful play to support progress. * Teach parents how to continue activities at home to keep therapy consistent. * Collaborate with PT, ST, nursing, and physicians to keep care coordinated. * Document progress clearly and adjust plans when needed. * Recommend adaptive equipment when appropriate. * Offer steady emotional support to children and families. * Follow all safety and ethical standards. Qualifications * Masters or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy. * Active Texas OT license. * Interest in pediatrics and medically complex patients. * Comfort working with children with neurological impairments, sensory needs, or autism. * Clear communication skills and collaborative mindset. * Patience, compassion, and a strong commitment to family support. * Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
