Job Type Full-timeDescriptionFlood and Peterson is hiring for an Account Manager on our Diversified Large Commercial teamThis position provides support and service for our clients in a variety of industries - manufacturing, public entities, non-profits, and more. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and grow your career in the insurance industryPOSITION SUMMARYProvide ongoing support and service to clients, assisting with existing clients and new business prospects by performing a variety of tasks.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESOther duties may be assignedServe as the internal contact for clients on insurance questions and policy changesPerform day-to-day client servicing tasks with appropriate assistance from Director of Client ServicesResponsible for billing premiums on all assigned accountsResponsible for integrity of policy data and documentation in Agency Management SystemsManage account renewals under supervision Account Executive including but not limited to the following:Prepare renewal exposure information documents/renewal reviewComplete applications, including specialty and supplemental applications, as requiredObtain preliminary renewal indications from underwritersFollow-up with renewal underwriters for quotesPreparation of proposalsParticipate in new and renewal business presentations with Risk AdvisorsIssue binding instructions to successful carriersIssue binders, invoicesComplete surplus lines due diligence & affidavits, when applicableResponsible for final policy check for new and renewal business as negotiated at bindingDelegate appropriate tasks to Associate Account Manager or Account AssistantWork with Accounting and Account Assistants to resolve accounting discrepanciesProvide assistance to Account Assistants on auditsPerform tasks assigned in client service plansPerform loss ratio, analytics and other account/risk assessments as neededResponsible for collection of premium on all assigned accountsComply with and follow company workflow procedures and guidelinesDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with clients and insurance company underwritersProvide outstanding customer service and teamwork and seek to improve whenever possibleSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities but is expected to mentor new team members and collaborate with team members when appropriate. Promptly inform supervisor of all matters that may give rise to an E&O claim.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INFORMATIONAt Flood and Peterson all full time employees are eligible for benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and paid Volunteer Time Off. Full time employees are also eligible to participate in our excellent 401k program, which includes both safe harbor and discretionary matching. We also offer several other voluntary insurance programs including expanded Life, Disability, Accident, Critical Illness/Event, and legal services. In addition to regular pay, this position is eligible to participate in our annual performance incentive program. Starting pay for this non-exempt position is $31.00 - 35.00 / hour. Pay may exceed this range for well-qualified candidates, commensurate with experience. RequirementsEducation and Work ExperienceAssociate's degree (A.
