**Job Description: Outside Plant Fiber Network Design Engineer**

We are seeking an experienced Outside Plant Fiber Network Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing Outside Plant Fiber Networks from preliminary design to fully implemented solutions. This role requires proficiency in both field design and permitting, with the ability to work effectively in a home office and field environment.

**Responsibilities:**

- Conduct preliminary and detailed design for Outside Plant Fiber Networks.

- Manage field design and permitting processes.

- Review design specifications and documentation.

- Develop workflows and processes to streamline project execution.

- Create and maintain project schedules to ensure timely delivery.

- Manage vendor relationships and oversee construction activities.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience in Outside Plant Fiber Networks (OSP) design and implementation.

- Familiarity with telecommunications networks design, including Fiber to the Premise (FTTP), Fiber to the Home (FTTH), Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC), Fiber to the Cell (FTTC or FTTX).

- Strong knowledge of permitting and right-of-way (ROW) processes.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, Visio, FME, Mapcom M4, GIS Software, LodeData, and HFC design tools.

- Solid understanding of NESC standards and regulations.

- Excellent project management skills with the ability to develop and maintain project schedules.

- Strong vendor management skills and experience in construction management.

- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships within the industry.
