Role
As part of Tenayas manufacturing team, the newly created position is responsible for managing the inventory GMP raw materials/product/intermediates warehouse and as needed sourcing, procuring, and inventorying GMP consumables which will be used for clinical stage products utilizing our proprietary recombinant adeno-associated virus (AAV) gene delivery products.
Responsibilities include;
Warehouse-Maintain the warehouse in clean and compliant GMP ready state, with appropriate inventory segregation (quarantine vs released) and associated GMP documentation and inventory systems (accurate inventory). Develop and maintain the inventory stock based on manufacturing production schedule to meet the production schedule.
Purchasing-Procurement of general lab supplies as well as GMP consumables utilized in the manufacturing facilities and support areas.
Specific responsibilities include:
* Review and update open purchase orders.
* Participate in the setup of the warehouse area.
* Participate in the setup of an inventory management system as required.
* Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse area.
* Ability to operate hand truck, lift trucks and other equipment.
* Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, with or without assistance of materials handling equipment.
* Ability to work in confined spaces, as well as refrigerated environments.
Ensures warehouse area is always inspection ready.
* Adhere to all environmental, health and safety SOPs, regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures, including any group specific requirements.
* Writing SOPs and other GMP controlled documents, including the drafting, review, and routing for approval of raw material/consumable specifications.
* Cross functional collaboration with Quality Unit, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
* Requires enthusiastic attention to detail.
* Open minded attitude that start-up team environments.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
**Requirements**
* High School diploma with 6+ months warehouse experience.
* Experience in handling and transacting lot-controlled inventory in purchasing using ERP systems in a GMP environment, Pharma/Biotech industry experience preferred.
* Ability to flex and quickly adapt to changing environment and competing priorities and deadlines under pressure.
* Ability to communicate in a professional and efficient manner.
