Position Summary:

Client/Outside Interface: Responsible for maintaining the computer and network systems of the organization.

Core duties:

Responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing computer hardware and software issues, setting up computer networks, and assisting employees and customers with IT-related problems. Responsible for security of the IT system and updating malware protection devices to prevent viruses or computer hacking.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Server and System Administration:

  • Install, configure, and manage both physical and virtual servers.
  • Ensure server performance, availability, and scalability through routine maintenance tasks, updates, patches, and backups.
  • Administrate operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • Monitor system health, resource utilization, and performance.
  • Implement and enforce security policies on systems and protect from cyber security threats.

Software Management:

  • Install, configure, and maintain software applications used by the organization.
  • Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with agreements.

Network Management:

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
  • Administrate the organization's network infrastructure.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and processes.
  • Generate reports on IT performance, incidents, and trends for management.

Other:

  • Administrate new user accounts, work email addresses, and access levels to new employees to ensure they have everything they need to work efficiently.
  • Ensure all company computers are backed up so there is no loss of data at any time.
  • Perform regular maintenance for our computer systems, computers, printers, network systems, and any other technical equipment.
  • Maintain and manage company laptop inventory.
  • Work with external vendors and service providers to manage IT-related contracts, services, and support. Compliance and Regulatory Responsibilities Ensure IT systems and practices adhere to relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

  • Ticket closure rate ensures timely closure of IT support tickets within agreed SLAs.
  • Customer satisfaction (CSAT) score, prioritize employee satisfaction with IT support services.
  • First contact resolution rate aims for efficient issue resolution on initial contact.
  • Asset management accuracy maintains precise records of company IT assets.
  • Security incident response time Respond promptly to security incidents to mitigate risks.
  • Maximum uptime of critical systems and networks.
  • Proactive problem identification and address IT issues before they escalate.
  • Average resolution time swiftly resolves technical issues to ensure minimal disruption.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/SOFTWARE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT systems and network administration.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Linux ) are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Office 365 Products, ESXi and internal software licensing and renewal
  • Windows and MAC operating system administration and end-user support
