Job Summary: As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our information systems. You will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks while implementing best practices to protect our infrastructure, networks, and data from potential threats. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and proactive problem-solving to stay ahead of emerging cybersecurity challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Security Monitoring and Incident Response:

    • Monitor security events and alerts to identify potential threats or breaches.
    • Investigate security incidents, analyze root causes, and develop effective response strategies.
    • Implement incident response procedures to minimize the impact of security breaches and ensure swift recovery.
  2. Vulnerability Management:

    • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems and applications.
    • Develop and implement remediation plans to address identified vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
    • Stay updated on the latest security threats and trends to proactively mitigate risks.
  3. Security Architecture and Design:

    • Design, implement, and maintain security controls and configurations to protect our infrastructure and networks.
    • Collaborate with other teams to integrate security requirements into system architecture and development processes.
    • Evaluate and recommend security solutions, technologies, and tools to enhance our cybersecurity posture.
  4. Security Awareness and Training:

    • Develop and deliver cybersecurity training programs to educate employees about security best practices and policies.
    • Promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization, emphasizing the importance of cybersecurity hygiene.
  5. Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and frameworks.
    • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
    • Work closely with internal and external auditors to maintain compliance and address any findings or deficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity or a related field. Advanced certifications are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, with a strong understanding of security principles, techniques, and technologies.
